ABOUT ME
I am a technical leader focused on mobile and embedded device security. In my doctoral studies, I spent years researching the security and privacy implications of using Information-of-Things (IoT) technology, specifically Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons and wearables. I sought to provide user-centric solutions to ensuring information security and safeguarding user privacy. In my current work at The MITRE Corporation, I improve the cybersecurity posture and effectiveness of various missions by tailoring and operationalizing technical research, developing cyber capabilities, and expanding the knowledge base of threat intelligence related to mobile and IoT devices.
In my free time, I contribute to the development of a non-partisan political information platform called KnowYourVote. KnowYourVote gives voters quick, easy access to information about candidates and key political issues at stake. We do this by aggregating primary source information to give the voter accurate, unbiased, and non-partisan information at their fingertips. Voters use KnowYourVote to compare and contrast candidates, understand where they stand on an issue, and see how their personal preferences match to each candidate. Ultimately, I aim to reduce barriers to voting, increase access to information, and help all Americans participate in the political process.
